A Partnership which Started in the 20th Century and Continues in the 21st Century

    BACKGROUND

Associated Global Systems (AGS), headquartered in New York, with offices spread across the U.S. and internationally, is known for its specialized, dedicated service to companies that require rock-solid procedures, communications and, most especially, partnerships. One of these partnerships began in the late 20th century and continues today, well into the 21st century. In 2018, AGS handled over three thousand shipments for this partner.

The AGS partner is a provider of IT products, services and solutions that has major customers such as national banks and telephone companies. These customers require very specific, time-definite, white glove pickup and delivery service on a daily basis, which requires solid, time-tested standard operating procedures (SOP) from AGS.

    IT REFRESH ROLLOUTS

The national bank requires coordination of large IT “refresh” rollouts, which includes shipment of new equipment to the bank branches and asset return shipments from each branch. Each bank branch requires day-specific deliveries with inside delivery requiring lift-gates. Then, usually two days later, AGS returns to the branch to pack to specifications the old IT equipment that has been de-installed, and pickup for return to AGS’ partner. These rollouts usually include over one thousand branch locations and must be completed within a three to six month time frame. AGS works with the partner to develop a delivery and pickup schedule to accommodate the overall rollout time frame and shipment requirements. Strict procedures for delivery and pickup at all bank branches must be coordinated in advance to ensure time frames are met and business is not disrupted.

    TWO DECADES OF PARTNERSHIP

The national cellular phone company is another customer of AGS’ partner that requires IT solutions on a regular basis. The delivery of high-value equipment, with many shipments valued at over $250,000, requires scheduling of exclusive-use vehicles (EUV) for day-specific and time-specific, white glove service. As an example, on one recent rollout, AGS was required to coordinate EUVs for delivery to eighty-eight locations over three weeks.

The AGS services that this partnership requires on an almost daily basis are:

AGS Handles Home Delivery of Flat Panel TVs for Several Leading Manufacturers and Distributors

Over 55,000 TVs delivered to consumers across the country on-time and damage free

New Hyde Park, NY January 27, 2017- New York based Associated Global Systems (AGS), a full service transportation and logistics provider, has just completed a massive Home Delivery distribution of flat panel TVs during the 2016 holiday season.  Many were 4K Ultra HD TVs.  This is the 5th consecutive year handling a project of this nature with great success.

To support their peak sales period of TVs from Black Friday through Christmas, AGS was selected to coordinate pick-ups seven days per week and distribute TVs from 42” up to 85” to consumers in time for the holidays.

These e-commerce deliveries required residential and business appointments with customers having the choice of three White Glove delivery options; Threshold service just beyond the front door, Room of Choice service including up or down stairs, or Assembly and Plug In service when requested.

Consumers were able to call the AGS National Control Center at 800-645-8300 anytime of the day or night, seven days a week for status on a shipment or to schedule a delivery appointment.  The program was highly successful for achieving an on-time delivery rate of 99.5%, accounting for less than one quarter of one percent refusal rate for damage, and providing same day resolution to  service escalations; exceeding every performance benchmark.

AGS’ Home Delivery Service is exclusively focused on the transportation and delivery of large big-ticket consumer items for a customer’s home. Furniture, high definition televisions, appliances and home fitness equipment are among the many products they deliver.

AGS Delivers Same Day Shipment from Taipei to Raleigh

AGS pulled off the amazing feat of a Same Day delivery from Taipei to Raleigh, North Carolina

New Hyde Park, NY July 7, 2014 – Transportation and Logistics provider, AGS, recently pulled off the amazing feat of the same day delivery of a shipment from Taipei to Raleigh, North Carolina.

One of the world’s largest apparel-related manufacturers and long-time account of AGS challenged their Raleigh terminal with getting a critical part needed for uninterrupted production from Taiwan to their North Carolina factory. AGS quickly arranged the pickup and flight to Atlanta and a confident plan was put into motion. Through AGS customs department, the package was cleared prior to landing, recovered off of an international flight in just 90 minutes that evening and immediately dropped at another airline for the day’s last flight to RDU. A driver was waiting on it and successfully delivered before midnight a package that shipped that same calendar day from Taiwan.

AGS met every requirement of getting this shipment delivered on time including an 8,445 mile flight met with the coordinated effort of couriers, Customs clearance, knowledgeable and talented logistics experts and AGS Raleigh at the home stretch to get it delivered on time the same day. Bob Volpe, District Manager in Raleigh, commented “it was a great job by everyone.”

It has stations and agencies in 125+ U.S. cities and 196 countries, and offers a menu of services that AGS management characterizes as offering “more options and greater flexibility than any other single source.”
